Delivery channels are necessary for message delivery. A delivery channel is any server or
service (e.g. web server, email server, text service for SMS). The Delivery
Channel screen captures the details of the server or service and uses the
details to connectt and interface with the service to send messages. Connect uses login
details (i.e. user name and password) to access tthe server or service.
Note: Before you
define a channel, ensure that you have the appropriate user name and password in
order for Connect to log into the service.
Note: Note the user name and
password used. If any of the user name or password details change on the server or
service Connect is accessing, Connect will no longer have access. Any changes made
to these details on the server or service must be reflected in the Connect
configuration for the delivery channel.
