Configure Automated Main Messages

Connect can configure Automatic Main Messages only if you have created the trial messages. After creating the trial messages, you can define Automatic Main Messages to pick the best message and automatically send it to customers who have not received a trial message.

The best message is automatically selected based on the success rate of the message and the content.

Create Trial Messages

Before creating an Automated Main Message, you must create trial messages associated with a campaign. Follow these instructions to create one or more trial messages. After the trial messages are created, the automated main messages feature is enabled.

  1. From Connect, click the Campaigns link to open the campaigns list.

  2. From the campaigns list, click the Actions button beside the appropriate campaign.

  3. Click the Messages option. The Messages tab will appear.
  4. Choose the Content Object that will be used in the trial. Drag the Content Object and drop it into the target segment.
  5. The Configure Message screen will appear as shown below. A Trial Message is configured like a Main Message with the addition of the Random Group information. The Trial's Random Group is a percent of the customers in the target segment, or an absolute count of customers in the target segment.

  6. Save the message and click the target segment in the left hand pane. You will see a list of the messages defined for the target segment.

  7. Launch the trial message by selecting the Rollout Message action.
