Email Content

Connect allows you to create content in any format that you require. Most commonly:
  • HTML: HTML is supported by most email clients, displaying different fonts, graphic elements and hyperlinks. The ability to create attractive HTML-based content and thhe inclusion of hyperlinks typically gives HTM a higher click-through rate.
  • Plain Text - Plain text is supported by all email clients with noo support of graphics or hyperlinks. Most clients will revert to plain text when HTML is not available.

Connect includes all required data for selecting the proper format for the most common email clients. The format requirements for each email client comes from the customer or through the Connect detection functionality.

Before sending messages to customer, ensure you create a version for each email client in your audience. Begin by evaluating the email data in your customer database or polling your customers to determine which formats are most commonly supported. As you continue using Connect, the HTML detector collects information, increasing the detail and accuracy of your customer data. When you send the message, Connect selects the appropriate format for each customer’s email client.

Note: Although most email clients support HTML, users can choose between HTML or plain text emails. To ensure that you are reaching your customers accorrding to their wishes, create your content in both plain text and HTML at a minimum.

Multi-Language Support

Connect is able to send messages in multiple languages from a single Connect instance. You are able to select a different language from the default for your installation. When Connect renders the outgoing messages, it converts the content to the character sets specified by the language settings.
