Once a system quiet period is created it may be necessary to edit the quiet period. This may be necessary if the times for the quiet period need altering or updating.
Editing a Quiet Period
To edit a system quiet period:
- Navigate to the Instance Admin screen. The System Parameters screen
displays.
- Click on the System Quiet Periods sub-menu in the menu bar on the left. The
System Quiet Periods screed displays.
- Click on the quiet period name link from the list of quiet periods or click on the
Edit icon (
) beside the desired quiet period. The Edit Quiet
Period screen appears displaying the details of the quiet period.
- Enter the quiet period information:
- Start Time: The time the quiet period starts ceasing message sending for the system (current time zone for the application)
- End Time: The time the quiet period ends and messaging can continue for the system (current time zone for the application)
- Day: The day the quiet period timeframe will be active (a select day or
'everyday')Note: For quiet periods to span midnight, you must create two quiet periods: one period to stop at 11:59pm, and another to start at 12:00am the next day.
- To cancel without saving the changes to the quiet period, click the Cancel button. The System Quiet Periods screen appears. The changes to the quiet period is not saved.
- Click the Save button. The System Quiet Periods screen appears. The changes to the quiet period are saved.
