It may be necessary to generate a binary secure key that is used by the services to
encrypt and decrypt communication streams between the services.
Note: Prior to generating
a secure key, the Algorithm for Encrypted Streams parameter must be set.
Ensure that this parameter has a set and valid value. For more information on
updating parameters for services, please see Editing Services Parameters.
Generating a Secure Key
To generate a secure key for the services:
- Navigate to the Deployments screen. The Deployment Editor
screen displays.
- Click on the desired active deployment. The real time monitor
displays.
- Click on the Services sub-menu heading. The Services screen
displays.
- Click on the Generate Key button. The secure key is generated. The status is updated to set.
