Customer Preferences

Preferences are values representing information about a particular customer. There are several places you can get the information. Preference information can come from forms on your web site or from purchase information.

Preferences are more flexible than attributes. A customer can have multiple values for each preference type. Preferences can be used to individually tailor message content. The preferences you define are stored in the Preference Master table and can be loaded into the customer database.

The Preferences screen either displays all customer preferences or the currently-defined customer preferences.  Controls in this view enable you to create new preferences or edit existing preferences. Sort the data in any column by clicking the column name.

The following columns appear in the table.
