When creating electronic direct marketing (EDM) content, there are several technical
considerations you must take into account.
- Links cannot contain any special characters such as !, ? & and so on.
- Add a Change to Text Notice at the beginning of the EDM.
- Fully qualify image links to the Web Server directory.
- The sender needs to understand mailto: ramifications.
- Do not include local links.
- Text links must contain spaces on both sides.
- Text messages must contain HARD returns.
- Mail merge should be valid.
- Set-up a default case.
- Text messages cannot contain hidden characters.
- Text messages cannot exceed 60 characters in length per line.
