Creating a New Segment

Start from the Segmentation Model Definition window in the main Customers area and click on the Create a new Segment button. A new, unnamed segment will appear in the segment list at the bottom of the page.

You should name each segment so it can be easily identified in reports and summary pages. Just highlight the current name in the name field and replace it with the appropriate text.

To add a filter to a segment, click Add a new filter. The system will bring you to the Filter Type page, where you can start the process of defining a new filter.

Note: Only segmentation models based upon customer profiles enable you to define segments with filters. For more information on the different types of segmentation models see Defining A New Segmentation Model.
