The Sender Name is the name that appears on outgoing e-mails as the sender of the e-mail. This is the name your customer sees and recognizes. You set up valid sender names to standardize the way your company name or executive names are used. Every message can only be sent using a pre-defined sender name. For example, if your company name is One Stop Shopping Place, Inc., you want it to always be written exactly like that. If you left it up to the individual user to enter it every time, it could come out like this: 1 stop shopping, One stop Shopper, The One Stop For Shopping Place, Inc. Standardizing the sender name ensures quality control.
The sender name is for display and recognition purposes only and is not an e-mail address. E-mail addresses are automatically generated at the time of mailing.
Click Sender Names in the Admin Messages window to display the Sender Names page. This window lists the all or the currently-defined message Sender Names. For each message you send, you’ll specify one of your defined Sender Names. Controls in this view enable you to create new Interests or edit existing ones. You can resort the data in the Sender Name column by clicking on the column name.
