System parameters can be edited to tailor the behaviour of Connect and determine access
levels to the application itself. The parameters are grouped by functional area (i.e.
Category) and by the functional level of access (i.e. Access Level). Once searched for
and displayed, the system parameter can be edited to hold the desired value.
Note: System
parameters hold very specific values to make Connect function properly. Changing
some system parameters could have an unintended effect on Connect's behaviour and
execution. Check with your system administrator prior to changing any system
parameter.
Editing System Parameters
To edit a system parameter:
- Navigate to the Instance Admin screen. The System Parameters
screen displays.

- Select the desired functional category from the Category dropdown and
the desired functional access level from the Access Level dropdown
respectively. Click the Apply button. The system parameters meeting
the selected search criteria are displayed. For a list of all of the
available system parameters, please see List of System Parameters.
- To clear the search criteria that have been selected and return to
the default search criteria, click the Clear button. The
default search criteria is displayed.
- To reset your search results and return to the default returned
results, click the Reset button. The default search results
are displayed.
- Click on the name link of the desired system parameter. The System
Parameter Details screen appears.

- Edit the value of the parameter as desired.
- To cancel without saving the changes to the system parameter, click the
Cancel button. The System Parameter screen displays. The
new value of the system parameter is not saved and not displayed.
- Click the Save button. The System Parameter screen displays.
The new value for the system parameter is saved and displayed.
