Wireless Domains

Connect provides the ability to maintain a list of Wireless Domains. A Wireless Domain is an email to text message gateway operated by a wireless carrier. For example, AT&T Wireless operates the txt.att.net domain; email to [email protected] will result in a text message being sent to 16035551212.

To support Wireless Domains, Connect will automatically email Short Text content to these domains instead of HTML, Text, or Multipart messages. The email to text gateway will be able to convert the Short Text content to a text message much more easily than an arbitrary email message.

In addition to creating and deleting Wireless Domains manually, you may also import a list of domains provided by the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
