Before you can send messages to users, you must define the Delivery Channels. A delivery
channel is the web server, email server, or service required to send a text message.
Before you define a channel, make sure you have the appropriate password available.
Add New Delivery Channel
Follow these directions to add a new delivery channel.
- From the Delivery Channels screen, click Commands > New Delivery
channel. The Enter Delivery Channel Information screen
appears.
- In the Name field, type a unique name for the delivery channel. This
field is required.
- From the Address Attribute ID drop-down field, select the appropriate
attribute.
- From the Type drop-down field, select the appropriate delivery
channel type. Depending on the selection, different fields appear below the
type field. These fields ensure that your message is sent to your users.
- If the Upload button appears, click the button to upload the
certificate.
- Click the Save button to save the information. The new channel
appears in the list on the Delivery Channels screen.
Edit Delivery Channel
Follow these directions to edit a delivery channel.
- From the Delivery Channels screen, click Actions > Edit beside
the channel you want to edit. The Enter Delivery Channel Information
screen appears.
- Make your changes.
- If the Upload button appears, click the button to upload the
certficate.
- Click the Save button to save the information.
Delete Delivery Channel
Follow these directions to delete a delivery channel.
- From the Delivery Channels screen, click Actions > Delete
beside the channel you want to delete. a confirmation box appears.
- Click the OK button. The channel is removed from the list.
