Phase 2: Moving Data from Staging Tables to the Connect Tables

Phase 2 is automatically invoked by a post-session command after you complete the last mapping session in Phase 1. Phase 2 consists of a black box mapping session defined specifically for Connect.

The black box session is automatically started by a post-session command at the end of Phase 1. You must enter information to specify:

The location of the black box session file.
Any additional scripts or command line functions required as part of the session. For example, you might specify that you want to receive an e-mail notification when the session finishes running.

When the session is complete, Informatica executes any post-session commands specified in Phase 1. For example, you could write a post-session command to transfer data automatically from the ETL staging tables to the Connect database. Your consultant will create a post-session command for you during the initial Informatica implementation. If you wish to add additional post-session commands, consult Informatica’s documentation set.
