Administer a Wireless Domain

Connect provides the ability to maintain the list of wireless domains and SMS Aggregators in Admin > System Configuration > Wireless Domains. Administrator's can do the following:

Import a List of Wireless Domains

Connect enables the administrator to import multiple wireless domains from an external URL. The list of wireless domains are provided in XML format.

  1. From the main Connect screen, select Admin > System Configuration > Wireless Domains. The Wireless Domain screen appears.

  2. Click the Import button. The import screen appears.

  3. In the Wireless Domain XML field, type the URL for the wireless domain XML file.
  4. Click OK. The XML file must be well-formed and in a predefined format. The XML file is imported.

For more information, refer to http://ftp.fcc.gov/Bureaus/CGB/DomainNames/DomainNames.xml for a sample wireless domain XML file.

Connect creates the list of wireless domains available in the XML file and ignores the domains that already exist in the Connect database. Connect displays the list of wireless domains that are successfully imported.

Note: When upgrading from prior releases, ensure that there is no e-mail client (in EMAIL_CLIENT_MASTER table) with id=4 because Connect adds a new e-mail client with id=4 for short text content.
