Real Time Viewer

The Real Time Viewer enables you to monitor current system performance. It displays current throughput and critical measurements of key system components. This is the default page in the Admin System Monitoring tab.



Status: Provides the current overall status of the system.

Campaign Activity

This section shows you how many messages were delivered and bounced, as well as the customer targeting rate, e-mail creation rate, and event processing rate.

The number of messages that show as having been delivered successfully include those delivered on first attempt as well as those delivered on retry.

Customer Targeting Rate: The system displays the current estimated customers targeted per hour based on the activity of the previous 15 minutes by default.  You can change this in System Parameters.

E-mail Creation Rate: The system displays the current estimated messages created per hour based on the activity of the previous 15 minutes by default. You can change this in System Parameters.

Event Processing Rate: The system displays the current events per hour based on the activity of the previous 15 minutes by default.  You can change this in System Parameters.  

You can view the history of each of these rates by clicking its History link.

Messages were sent at a current total success rate of ___ messages per hour ( __% success): This  is the success ratio of only the first attempt; it does not include retries.

Note: The rate displayed represents the successful rate of all first attempts for all the mail senders. For example, say you have two mail senders who make attempts. Mail sender 1 tries 1000 first attempts, and sends 900 e-mails, that sender's success rate is 90%. Then, mail sender 2 tries 1000 first attempts, and successfully sends 950 e-mails, giving that sender a success rate of 95%. The cumulative success rate for both senders, then, is 92.5%, which means among a total of 2000 first attempts, 1850 e-mails were sent successfully.

Hostname: The name of the e-mail server.

Messages Sent: The number of messages sent for each e-mail server.

Success Rate: The success rate of each e-mail server.

Customer Response

This section displays customer reply, click-through, and conversion data.

E-mail Replies: The system maintains a count of the unsubscribe requests and the redirections among the e-mail replies it receives.
  • Unsubscribe Requests: The number of replies received with unsubscribe requests.
  • Redirections: The number of replies received that are redirections.
Link Requests: The system maintains a count of the link requests and conversions among the link requests it receives.
  • Click Requests: The number of customer clicks on the combined links of all messages.
  • Conversions The number of conversions among the link requests received.
Detections: The system displays the read detections and HTML detections processed.
  • Read Detections: The number of read detections processed.  A read detection is processed each time a customer opens one of your messages.
  • HTML detections The number of HTML detections processed.  An HTML detection is processed each time a customer opens one of your messages with an e-mail client that can process HTML content.

A total of ___ customer requests were processed: This is the total of all link requests and detections. Expand this section to view the total number of customer requests received for each hostname.
  • Hostname: The name of the server that processed the requests.
  • Requests: The number of requests processed by each server.

Customer Analytics

This section of the Real Time Viewer page provides estimated real-time processing rates and time-to-complete estimates:

Log Processed: This column lists the logs included in the customer analytics:
  • Message Sending Log
  • Link Request Log
  • E-mail Reply Log
  • Conversion Log

Processing Rate: This column displays the current entries-per-hour processing rate for each log.

Entries to be Processed: This column displays the current number of entries pending processing for each log

Estimated time to complete: This column displays the estimated time in hours and minutes for each log’s pending processes.
