Defining Short Text Content
This section provides information on how to define and send the short text content to the wireless domain customers.
From the Connect user interface, create a new campaign.You need to configure the following while defining a message content.
- In the Content window, enter the message content details.
- Name: Enter the message name.
- Subject: Enter the subject for the e-mail. The subject may not reach wireless domain customers, however this field is mandatory.
- HTML Content: Enter the URL for the HTML Content (optional).
- Text Content: Enter the URL for the Text Content (optional). Note: The user must specify either HTML or Text content to launch a campaign.
- Short Text: Enter the URL for short text content. Connect will validate the size of the short text content based on the system parameter Maximum length of short-text content. For more information on this system parameter, see Configuring System Parameters.
Click the Next icon to validate all the message contents.
- Launch the message as appropriate.
Configuring System Parameters
This section provides information on how to configure the system parameters for this feature.
From the Connect user interface, navigate to Admin > System Configuration > System Parameters. You can refer to the following table for more information on configuring the system parameters.

Click ok to proceed’ if the size of the short text message exceeds the maximum length of the SMS/Wireless content.Connect performs no validation on the length of the short text, if the value entered is 0. The default value of this parameter is 160 and maximum value is 9999. |
| Content type for SMS/wireless recipients in absence of short-text content | Category: ContentAccess Level: Advanced | Use this system parameter to specify the content type to be sent to the wireless recipients in the absence of short text content. Specify 1 to send Text or 2 to send HTML content. The default content type is 1. |
