Connect can be licensed on a monthly usage (cost-per-message or CPM) basis, or on an unlimited basis determined by the number of customer records. Unlimited usage licenses start at $1,500 per month for 100,000 customer records.
Whether you deploy Connect on-premises or on cloud servers, you get a private instance and a private database schema. You can modify the schema to enhance profiling and targeting by using any and all customer data available.
Security Architecture
Brick Street Connect is designed to work in environments with strong security requirements. Connect utilizes a distributed internet architecture using Java-based components, each of which resides in one of the following areas:
The Demilitarized Zone (DMZ): The DMZ lies within the outer firewall and contains components designed to interface with the outside internet by sending and receiving mail as well as tracking the links a customer clicks.
The Intranet: The Intranet is behind a second, inner firewall and contains the tools required to set up, run, and report on campaign messages, as well as integration points with external systems.
Connect has a unique two-tier security architecture consisting of managers and workers. Workers are deployed in the network DMZ, perform tasks like sending messages and handling responses, and never have access to the database. Manager nodes, behind an inner firewall, are responsible for accessing the database and sending tasks to the workers. Thus, Connect provides a high degree of security since your customer database is never accessible from public networks.
About the Firewalls
Connect utilizes two firewalls, which can be thought of as a soft firewall and a hard firewall. The soft firewall prevents access to certain components on which proprietary information may reside while allowing HTTP and SMTP protocol transfers between the soft firewall and the internet. The hard firewall prevents outside access to any information in the Connect database.
